Painting live for crowds to watch often feels like a "public meltdown with a smile". Especially when folks approach me at work, clearly full of doubt, wondering why they let me in the door to be part of the event with such unimpressive art on the easel in the early stages. Many aren't used to just how quickly a painting can come together under pressure, so it is all the more satisfying when those same doubting Thomas's become true believers later in the event after finally seeing the painting develop further. Most of these were painted for various fundraisers and it's a ton of fun to make them happen.
