The vast majority of my paintings are done with acrylic. I enjoy the simplicity of water for thinning and cleaning, no fumes, no fuss. But when it threatens to rain that can be a real mess with a water-based medium. I have to keep an eye on things. And also walking 3 miles back to the car in a soaking rain isn’t all that fun either. Just another minor occupational hazard that doesn’t exist in the studio but keeps things interesting out in the field…
