5 days. 8 paintings. 3 fairly long hikes. 4 awkward nights in the van. 1 terrible game of pool in a small bar while just trying to enjoy a beer while my phone charged up but wasn’t able to on account of the local fellow challenging me to the pool game while open mic night dragged along until a couple of migrant farm workers took to the stage and showed the gringos how its done belting out tunes in spanish that we all understood with our hearts and not our minds that told us that this time right here and right now was our time.
