Current Archive: Crowds with Lots of Questions
It’s not the crowds that get to me, it’s the questions. And truthfully even most of those are fine. My particular annoyance is when the focus of these conversations shifts straight to money. Not wanting to buy a painting either, but just wanting to know if I make a living from painting, and how much money do I make, and generally more interested in discussing money than the art being made right before their eyes. I get it, it’s what they relate with, but it gets old. If I get too many of these questions I usually put headphones and start singing loud and badly as a defense mechanism. Even that doesn’t always work, but it can help.
