It’s rewarding, but it really is a pain. I’m not a fan of small watercolor sketches so my art gear weighs at least 20lbs alone, then add camp gear, bulky bear-proof cans full of food, water filters, wetsuits, surfboards… good grief. It helps to have generous friends willing to help shoulder the load. You guys are the best.
