Current Archive: Passing Through
These series of abstractions was born while painting live unplanned paintings during music shows. In these high-energy environments I often just like to move and flow with the music and these paintings lend themselves to movement. The connection to music is strengthened further when one associates the vertical color shifts with a human’s upright stance. The music is like water that flows through our beings from one to another unhindered in real time. It’s a beautiful thing. I miss live music. Can’t wait to get back to these if and when we’re all allowed to live again.
