This tribute to Skip Frye was painted from start to finish in the presence of Skip himself as he was honored at the 2017 San Diego Surf Film Festival. I think it’s pretty cool to know the only painting I’ve painted of him was done with him literally in the same room. It’s based loosely on a classic Ron Stoner photograph.
