COW-DODGING

Halfway through this painting I had a premonition of a cow running down the path I was standing on. I dismissed it as a ridiculous idea due to the barbed wire fence that enclosed their pasture. Not long after this, I heard rustling in the brambles down the path drawing closer and louder quite quickly. I just had time to grab my easel and jump back into the brambles myself before a confused brown cow came barreling down the path and out on it’s quest for freedom. I knocked on the ranch house door to let them know and they brushed it off. Happens all the time I guess. But not to me it doesn’t.
