AidCurrent artist Matt Beard will be creating live visual art during a night of heavy-hitting surf rock from the legendary Dick Dale and local favorites The Pyronauts and Guns & Barrels.  The artwork he creates that night will be available to the highest bidder once the music stops with 50% of the proceeds donated to the non-profit of the buyer’s choice.

Matt Beard’s live art presents a rare opportunity to own one of his original works, as many of his studio paintings are purchased by collectors before they ever become publicly available.  His live art is unpredictable, as he adheres to a philosophy that refuses to plan ahead for live performances.  It’s an artistic outlet for him to let go of the results-based methodologies that can dominate studio work, and instead dive into the experiential process based methods that allow the art to take unexpected turns throughout the course of it’s creation.  The music, the vibe and the crowd all have their influence in the direction of the artwork, and with the solid driving sounds of Dick Dale finishing the night, we look forward to seeing the results of this one!  You can check out some of his live work here to see how it’s unfolded at past events.

Don’t miss this chance to witness the melding of creative energies from these talented artists, or go one step further and take home the results!  This may be a once in a lifetime chance to own an original Beard finished to the sounds of surf rock legend Dick Dale.  It will be a silent auction, to bid just make your way to the table his paint pallette is on, and find or ask for the clipboard with the auction sheet.  Or, to place a silent pre-bid feel free to contact us here, and let us know how far you’d go to own one his original live art piece from this event.  We will raise the bid on your behalf in increments of $20 until your limit is reached, so nobody will know how far you’re willing to go.  Take it home and with 50% going to the non-profit you choose your walls AND conscience will be happy.

We hope to see you there!
